Conor Maynard Talks Working With Timbaland (April 18th)

“It was one of those things that was all sent over email, so in theory I could have been completely catfished. I don’t even know how he was on email because it was all done through the label! It was so weird when he sent the demo over because it’s him singing it, and his voice is so different to mine. We might actually leave some of his vocals on the track but either way, I hope the demo leaks because he sounds great and so different on it.” “What surprised us about the song is how un-Timbaland it sounds. I don’t think it’s immediately obvious that he’s behind the song.”

Conor Maynard Worked With Timbaland On His New Album

It's been a full three years since Conor released his debut album, and we're more than ready to let his beautiful little face and beautiful little vocals back into our lives. Talking to Digital Spy at the Brit Awards 2015 nominations launch, Conor revealed that he worked with some "really really cool" people for his next album-shaped offering, including Timbaland which was "amazing," Labrinth and Craig David.

Oh, and he also revealed that he "let a bit of wee out" when he heard Timbaland wanted to work with him. Nice. He admitted working with Craig David was: "quite scary. He's ripped now so he could literally punch me and kill me at any second if he wanted to. Luckily he's a really non-violent, calm man."

Conor Maynard Reveals Working With Timbaland

The British pop sensation has been busy working hard in the recording studio on his new album as a follow-up to his 2012 release Contrast, so spending the day at Wireless was a good chance to unwind and just enjoy the music. "I opened the main stage at Wireless last year," says Conor. "I haven't released anything since then, but I'm working on my second album at the moment.

"It looks like the next single is going to be with Labrinth and we've got a few more singles after that ready too. I've done a few collaborations, but whether I'm actually using it yet is another thing. I did a song that was written by Timbaland, which was really cool." Thanks to thepestilence.

Update your discographies everyone, you can now add Conor Maynard to your list of artists that have worked with Timbaland for material for their own albums. Perhaps Pharrell introduced him? Point of the matter is as of yet unnamed, Timbo will be on the album, which will include tracks with Labrinth and Travie McCoy.
