Aaliyah - Steady Ground feat. Static (New Version) (14')

One of the most anticipated albums of last year was the new Aaliyah album which was due 2013, according to her uncle and CEO of Blackground Records Barry Hankseron. Mr. Hankerson tweeted last year new details saying that the album will have 16 unreleased tracks, and he even posted the album’s cover art. Aaliyah’s longtime collaborators Missy Elliott and Timbaland were also rumored to be attached, but Timbaland later issued a statement saying that they’d never been contacted, so just minutes ago, a new Aaliyah record leaked on the net titled ‘Steady Ground’ that features Static on it, but its slightly different from the 2009 version that hit the net, could we really get a new Aaliyah album this year, stay tuned for more information, check out both tunes below.

Throwback Sunday #1: Playa - Birthday

Hello everybody. This is the first episode of my weekly throwback series. I was supposed to start this thing two weeks ago, but I had various problems with my Internet connection, so here it is, just a little bit delayed. This song is one of my personal favs, being my absolute number one for many years. It's sensual, well arranged and has that unique feel Timbo gave to many of his tracks in the late 90's. What more can I say, it always gave me chills! Enjoy:
