Model and seasoned songwriter Wynter Gordon isn't new on the scene — we covered her a few years ago — but she's managed to keep a pretty low profile considering the fact that she's worked with everyone from Mary J. Blige to Jennifer Lopez and David Guetta. Today the Queens native is back with a new single, "Bleeding Out," off of her forthcoming solo EP, Five Needle.
As the title suggests, this isn't your feel-good summer jam about day-drinking and sex. It's a heartfelt reverie about love and loss anchored by Gordon's haunting vocals and Benny Cassette's (Kanye West, Sky Ferreira) minimalist approach to the pop ballad. Stream "Bleeding Out" below. Five Needle is out June 2 on Harvest Records.

You’ve made quite the transition over time with your music. What lead you to the style of music you create now?
It’s been quite the journey growing and evolving, arriving at a point where you know what you want and exactly how you want to express it. A lot of the content and aesthetic of the music that I am creating now is an organic blend of fantasy stories, old Western movies, futuristic comics, inspiring art and the immense sadness of love lost in my past and the happiness I’m now discovering within myself. It’s not dance music, it’s storytelling.

Timbaland has been on his Hang W/ app once again where he played some unreleased Tink and Wynter Gordon tunes. He also revealed that Tink’s album will only have two features on it, which is 2pac and Missy Elliott, and he said that Wynter Gordon is his new artist on his Mosley Music Group label, check out his videos below, stay tuned for more information, thanks to David Primer.

Introducing MMG's New Artist 'Wynter Gordon'
Diana Eve Paris Gordon (born August 25, 1985), better known by her stage name Wynter Gordon, is an American singer-songwriter. She began as a writer for other artists, later signing with Atlantic Records where she began working on an album while continuing to write songs for other acts and providing vocals on songs. Her debut album ‘With The Music I Die’ was released in 2011 with three singles.
Wynter Gordon dealt with a tough Queens upbringing by developing her talent for dancing, songwriting, and singing. She wrote her first song prior to becoming a teenager and attended LaGuardia High School Of Music & Art and Performing Arts. Later, working in music studios led to a major songwriting credit: the fittingly titled “Gonna Breakthrough,” a tune she co-wrote, was not just recorded by Mary J. Blige but positioned as the central track on the singer’s triple-platinum 2005 album, The Breakthrough.
This led to a contract with Atlantic, as well as collaborations with Danity Kane, David Guetta, Jennifer Lopez, and, most significantly, Flo Rida, whose “Sugar” topped out at number five hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Gordon’s debut album was several years in the making, led by “Dirty Talk” — a single that reached number two on Billboard’s Dance Chart by early July 2010.
