'The Way I Are' Hits 1 Billion Streams On Spotify [Video]

'The Way I Are', released in 2007, has officially crossed 1 Billion Streams on Spotify, and Keri Hilson is celebrating the moment with a special plaque from Spotify. The song, led by Timbaland and featuring D.O.E., became an instant global hit thanks to its futuristic beat, minimalist hook, and raw attitude. It was a defining record of its era and still sounds ahead of its time today produced by Timbaland and Danjahandz.

Justin Timberlake In The Studio With Timbaland & Danjahandz (2017)

It looks like we’re getting a Justified 2.0 after all. It’s been nearly four years since Justin Timberlake shut down the Pop/R&B game and went back-to-back with The 20/20 Experience and The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2. And while he’s worked on a handful of projects since—namely the Trolls soundtrack, which featured his chart-topping single “Can’t Stop The Feeling“—we’ve yet to hear what the 36-year-old star has in store for his proper follow-up.
We’ll still have to wait on the music, but a recent Instagram post from Timberlake suggests he’s hard at work on the project. Even more promising, the IG post featured Pharrell and Timbaland, two legendary producers who have played a major role in the sound and success of JT’s solo career. What’s more, Danja, who works closely with Timbaland, said he and Timbo along with The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo) were working on a project together. Stay tuned for more info.

Danjahandz Talks About Working With Timbaland On JT’s FL Album

Danjahandz wrote on his Instagram Page remembering working with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake on Futuresex/Lovesound album.

“Then we shocked the world and shifted the music business. Let open the flood gates for edm to be accepted in the mainstream music world. We changed the game for a good for at least 8-9 years. I can go on and on about this project. I may do a book one day I have to save some for the book but the sessions were one thing all the events after is something else. Anyway as far as the creation process it was flawless... It flowed.. We were experimenting and everything worked. This was the moment where the teacher thru a challenge out to me and I came through with the checkmate.

It happened... I developed something that was mines.. Tim just did a track that was crazy to me and everyone in the room!! one of those ones that leave you stuck for days he looked over at me and said " ur turn" How do you come back from that?? So let's take a step back.. A year prior I bought some sounds with my own money from Brian Kidd he gave me a lil package I was hyped. Before that I went to club space with Lago and seen the future. I've never seen a rave for lack of a better word. And the music was so ill to me. What was even more crazy was how the people were in the trance just zoned out. I made a note right then and said I need to people to react like this to my music.

The Ice Bucket Challenge, sometimes called the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, is an activity involving dumping a bucket of ice water on one's head to promote awareness of the disease Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and encourage donations to research. Here is an Unreleased tune by the R&B singer ‘Money’, with the tune ‘The Future’ produced by Timbaland and Danjahandz from 2008. Having already caught the ear of famed producer/songwriter Walter Milsap III and the biggest producer in music today Mr. Timbaland himself, Money is well on her way to show the world how a true visionary thinks. R&B singer Money has been signed to Blackground/Universal.

A California native, Money grew up in a musical family with both her father and sister looking to be future singers. Raised on everything from Jazz to Gospel, R&B to Rock ‘N Roll, Money’s biggest influence is Prince. She first started singing at age 15, but was not satisfied with only one aspect of performance rather she was determined to become an all-around entertainer. As time went on, she decided it was time to follow her dreams and pursue a career in the music industry.

While taking dance classes at the famed Millenium Dance Studios in Los Angeles, Money met choreographer  Dave Scott (You Got Served, Stomp The Yard) and his partner, stylist coordinator Keisha Gamble. Both saw the limitless potential in Money and quickly became in charge of her artistic development. Scott later introduced Money to the legendary Walter Milsap III, a meeting which would change her life forever.
