Timbaland - White Wedding

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Timbaland Performs “White Wedding”

Finally, it is here ! One of Timbaland`s most anticipated songs among the fans : White Wedding.

The fans began to request it as soon as Timbo performed it at the SWSX event and the Perez Hilton`s event.

Good and catchy, it's bumpin'! What a great way to end 2012 . I have a feeling that by posting this song, Tim is sending us a message meaning : ''Brace yourself for 2013, there's more where i came from. ''

So enjoy Timbaland's New Year's Eve present to us

C.J.

Timbaland Ft. Sebastian - "This Lady" FULL VERSION

I was totally expecting this coming up!! I believe the history of this song is well-documented, so we'll just listen:

I think next up is the "This Lady" Music video... *wink wink*

Timbaland Ft. Sebastian - "This Lady" Teaser Video

HOLY FRIK!! I've been awaiting this track for a good long year now, and we're getting closer to hearing it in all it's glory! Here is the teaser video which was filmed a year ago featuring Bill Pettaway, Abella Anderson and Analicia Chaves directed by Brian Byrd!

And now just for kicks I mixed and meshed the 2 versions we had into one just for the fans to enjoy:

OneRepublic - "Counting Stars" Snippet

With the new OneRepublic album looming ever closer, we receive today a new snippet on their track "Counting Stars", have a little listen:

The album "Native" so far seems to be sounding pretty awesome and I'm starting to get a feel for what their album sound is gonna be like, I'm for sure buying it, even if I listen to only the 4 we've heard thus far...
Lastly check out an interview they've done with Jonathan Brooks about their project:

Props to the "Lil Man" himself! Thanks bro!

GhosMerck Mixtape

Howdy y'all! Hope you all been having a dope Christmas this year, even if you don't celebrate it, I still hope you've been enjoying the festivities!

Let's dig into it! Here is the new Mixtape by Suffolk, VA artist 'GhosMerck' which we'll be treating as our 2012 Christmas gift from the Timbo camp which you can download for free from Timbaland Thursdays here.

The reason I only posted these two tracks above from the Mixtape is because after listening to them I realized that we've actually heard their instrumentals elsewhere before:

"No He Didn't" uses the same beat from the Spitfiya joint "Hit U Wit No Delay"

"Nasty" uses the same beat from the Justin Timberlake/Lil Wayne joint "I Heard Something"

I love it when beats are viewed from different angles like this...
So make sure you get your copy of the album and spread the word about GhosMerck!

Merry Christmas 2012!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Merry Christmas everyone! Thank you for all your continued support, negative or positive, or just visiting! You're all valued fans, so here's to another year chopped full of Timbaland musics!

Wess Morgan - I Choose To Worship (Timbaland Club Mix)

Hello Timbo fans all over the globe! Well, I know I've been kinda absent lately but I couldn't hesitate to introduce you to this awesome song right here! "What is it?" you might ask. Is it another pop song? Maybe some new rap joint with 48584573475867 guest stars on it? Or maybe is it club song featuring a famous DJ? Fortunately none of these options are true! Ladies and gentlemen, here it is:

No need to slap yourselves in the face guys. Yes, this is a gospel song. Actually it's one of the best gospel songs I've ever heard.

JUST TAKE A LISTEN! Listen to the awesome synth work! LAST TIME WE'VE HEARD SOMETHING LIKE THIS WAS IN THE LATE 90'S!

I don't know how to describe the beauty of this recording with words. It's fresh, it's relaxing, it has that oldschool Timbo vibe. It makes you wanna dance. It makes me smile. I feel the same as when I was listening to Playa's album for the first time. This is sorcery.

I give this song 10/10 and my personal "hurra"! This is how SV2 should've been like. And how SV3 should be.

First "Triple Threat", now this. If this is the new Timbo we were promised to see, I can't wait for more to come!

The song is a bonus track on Morgan's album "Under An Open Heaven Vol. 2". You can purchase it on iTunes, here.

Possible Timbaland Thursdays Comeback

Now there seems to be plans, not concrete yet, to resume the Timbaland Thursdays free music program which I believe if done would be a wise move to help regenerate hype for Tim's album, it's a simple successful scheme and when done correctly it can create such an impact on expectant fans...

I have reason to believe that we may see a return of this program as a certain "bird" went tweeting to yours truly about something related to this plan... I shall not go into details about that yet until my "boss" says I can. (I hope I've dropped enough hints).

Since this a heavily media orientated site allow me to share a track which I felt was the best on the scheme:

OneRepublic - "If I Lose Myself" Live

The latest single from Mosley Music Group campers OneRepublic has been performed live on stage, with front-man Ryan Tedder stating that this single will be officially released next year in January (2013 if you are unaware of the year lol). Now this is a little interesting to note as their third album "Native" is also dropping in January too, perhaps it'll be a joint venture?
Looking at it from a Timbaland perspective this could be a good sign for Tim's album, afterall OneRepublic always had their material recorded first then sent off one of their tracks to Tim for his projects, so hopefully 2013 will be the year we finally see Shock Value 3 (provided it's still called that).

Timbaland working with Agnes Monica

By now it's pretty much common knowledge that Timbaland is working with Indonesian singer/songwriter Agnes Monica on her upcoming album as of yet untitled. Tim is set to be producing the entire project, as he has done with the likes of Chris Cornell, Missy Elliott, Ginuwine, etc.
Now for the real kick, the first performance of their duet will performed in Bali (where Timbo is right now), here's a sneek pic of the performance:

This performance took place at the UN's Global Youth Forum in Bali, of which Timbaland has been named their first "Producer-In-Residence". The event has already kicked off, and today, December 6th, is the final day of the 3 day event where at last we get Agnez Mo and Timbo performing. The actual song should drop very soon.

Props to Masri Mohamed for sharing his pic during the festivities!

Danja Interview with YouKnowIGotSoul.com

Well once again, the main man "Kyle Ng" from youknowigotsoul.com managed to hook up with Danja for an interview where we finally get some light shed on his work with Timbaland.
Dig it:

Now for those of us curious to hear the Timbaland parts, here it is in text form:

YouKnowIGotSoul: I was introduced to you through a song titled “Betta Half” by Ginuwine. How did that opportunity come about? I know you were working on Timbaland at the time, but how did that particular opportunity come about?
Danja: I actually did that record before I started working with Timbaland. It was just through meeting a bunch of different people. I was pretty young at that time. I actually went to Ginuwine’s house, met him and played him a bunch of tracks. He loved the track and out of that meeting “Betta Half” happened.

YouKnowIGotSoul: The production on that song is very different from what we know from you now. What was the approach with that song?
Danja: Well I always did a lot of different styles of music, but just for Ginuwine it was just a batch of R&B tracks that I gave to him. I was in a real heavy R&B mode at that particular time as well as Hip Hop, but you have to cater the music to the type of artist you are working with.

YouKnowIGotSoul: I know you as well as Keri Hilson and Marcella started out originally working under Timbaland. Talk to me about the grind and journey that you guys went through to develop into who you guys are today.
Danja: It was just getting the opportunity as individuals to enhance our craft outside of the camp we came from. I began to work with Diddy a lot and worked with Bad Boy at Daddy’s House in New York. I would work there. We would have our own rooms to work, so I guess I was just left in my own space to grow and develop myself. I always wanted to develop my own sound and my own style. Listening to a lot of different music, putting a lot this together and working with a lot of different artists, it didn’t lead me any other reason but to come up with something eclectic and something to call my own. Just over time working with a lot of artists and having that opportunity for us to be by ourselves and work separately allowed us to grow.

YouKnowIGotSoul: When you and Timbaland first came out, you guys had this crazy sound that was very unique and ended up blowing everywhere. Talk to me about that creative process and how you guys came up with that particular sound.
Danja: It was just two individuals with two different music minds, being open minded and coming together. That just created something different. I have a different music opinion than what Timbaland has even though we agree a lot on the same things, but we just have a different approach with how we do things. We compromised at that time just for the collaborative effort. I wasn’t trying to do something he did and he wasn’t trying to do something that I did. We just brought something different to the table and the hits that we made were a product of that.

YouKnowIGotSoul: It seemed like every song you guys put out together ended up being a hit from Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado to even Madonna. Do you think that type of success can be replicated or was it because of the timing?
Danja: You never know. I think it has been replicated in the sense that we had the Dubstep movement. I can’t really speak so much for the Dance movement because I think we opened the door for the dance world. Even the Dubstep movement, we opened that door for this broad, international sound. The David Guettas had an opportunity to also have hit records on the side because we already paved the way for that sound. It just really depends, you never know. I think what we did at the time was a product of fun in the studio and not really setting any boundaries or being inside a box. I think it can be replicated. No one knows the recipe. There’s no set thing you can follow to come up with that again. I think when the stars align, it’ll all happen again. Music evolves and I think more than anything, people just have to keep their ears open for things that’s new and different and not really expect the same thing that’s happened over and over. It’ll happen, but it may be in a different form.

YouKnowIGotSoul: Talk about that decision for you to eventually branch out and start your own thing. To a lot of people, it seems like a huge risk because you had a lot of hits working with Timbaland. Talk about that decision and do your own thing.
Danja: It just came from careers going in two different directions. Timbaland was doing his thing touring with Justin and I was still here in the studio working on projects. It wasn’t necessarily a decision, it was just kind of the way things had prevailed. From that point on, things picked up on my end and I started working more and more on different things.

YouKnowIGotSoul: Do you see yourself working with Timbaland in the future?
Danja: You never know. We haven’t planned on anything. We spoke a few times on a couple of different things. I think for the right project, we’ll make up and work. As of now, there is nothing planned.

YouKnowIGotSoul: My personal favorite song that you did is Keri Hilson’s “Where Did He Go?”. Talk about that song.
Danja: That’s a collaboration. That was myself and Timbaland. It was him with the drums and I just played a guitar line. He just heard a sample of what I did and reprogrammed it with the ASR. He did with the ASR. That’s an old throwback track, but it was a collaborative effort. It’s two brains on that record with the drum sound and the melodics from me.

Website Updated!

At last!!! I did it, I've updated the site properly like I said I would and I think this theme will stay for a while, so what y'all think?

Outsiderz 4 Life Ft. Sincere, Timbaland - "College Degree" Throwback

Now as it's the first of the month and since 2012 has been a decent enough year for Timbaland throughout I thought I would end this year's throwbacks with a little rare track in the form of the unreleased Outsiderz 4 Life track "College Degree" which features Sincere and Timbaland.
This track was meant to be released on their 2000 debut album "Outsiderz 4 Life" but I think it was only sent to radio, and there was a video for it please anyone feel free to correct me... This track was released via Blackground Entertainment and a Vinyl promo does exist for it which contains the acapella and instrumental for this, so an appeal to anyone out there who either has it or knows where to find it, HIT US UP!

Timbaland - "White Wedding"

Alright guys I was waiting for an opportunity to share this with a little more info on it, but here's the track tentatively titled "White Wedding" performed live at South by South West:

Now for the kick, Brian Byrd actually shared this song with some of us via his Vimeo page, but only as behind the scenes footage in studio of Timbaland and J-Roc making this track. So yes that means this joint is another J-Roc co-production! You can download the live recording here.

Now before anyone asks, I do possess footage of the J-Roc in studio clip, though I am not releasing it as it only 40 seconds long and pretty much exactly like the one above, only show J-Roc in the back there a little more, so unless I'm given permission to share it, that particular clip will have to stay locked away.
But overall you guys excited for it?

Now to give credit where credit is due: PROPS TO "jan" from the chatroom!
