Christmas Apologies & Updates

I have not forgotten you guys! But I think a lot of you have forgotten me and this blog anyhow. I know it feels like a lifetime since we spoke about anything, seems like ten days is definitely a lifetime if you're hanging out in Camp Timbo! Allow me to express my apologies for the lack of interaction during this festive season, my work life took over all my free time, including blogging time, yet with 2014 coming, things will start to look up and go back to normal.

I'VE MISSED SO MUCH NEWS!

First there's the scoop that Tim is filming the video for "Know Bout Me" which is to be expected coming from the first single off of 'Textbook Timbo' both of which should be dropping in 2014 because Timbo has pretty much finished the album except for one song he's brushing up. Once he's sorted out that out it's just a matter of awaiting the green light (praying for no SV3 drama this time!)

Within in the Timbo Camp we welcome a new familiar name to the Mosley Music Group roster, namely James Fauntleroy! Guess all that writing for the last two Timberlake albums and all the other demos they've done together have finally persuaded Tim to hand him a contract, so we can now expect lots of quality written tracks for our MMG artists.

Next comes the more major news: Timbaland is finished working on the Michael Jackson project which has heavy production by him and a few others, most likely Quincy Jones and Freddie Mercury.
Not only that but Tim is back in studio with DeVante Swing to help record for the return album of JoDeCi!! Not sure yet whether or not we'll see 90's production from him or if he'll bring it up to date with his current style.

Finally to conclude Beyoncé released her latest single "Drunk in Love" with Jay-Z this month while next month it get's switched around when Jay-Z will release "Part II (On The Run)" with Beyoncé... The Carters are getting really active lately aren't they?

Jimmy CoDean - "Fuck With A Nigga"

Brian Byrd has been busy putting Timbaland Thursdays back on track by sharing lots of activity in the Timbo Camp community.
So here's the freshest stream from the site, in the form of Jimmy CoDean's track "Fuck With A Nigga" which, despite sounding like a Wizz Dumb production, is actually produced by J-Roc! Make sure you pick up your copy of his new mixtape "Exact Change".

Cherish MiE - Tastemaker's Rebellion Trailer

I really should've had this posted earlier but I'll make up for it by doing it now, originally I was gonna have one of my admins do it, but he has been busy helping out Cherish Mie with her movement #TeamiLuvMiE by managing and promoting pretty much most of Cherish's online ventures.
(The admin in question by the way is TimboDaKingFan, which is why he hasn't posted much here lately).
This venture you see here in the video above is a little teaser for Ms MiE's new mixtape coming soon with Dark Star Entertainment.
It's artists like Cherish whom I admire as she is on of the few who actually keep music real and what it is truly about; everyone having a good time, not just in it for the fame and money...

Introducing Jo'zzy a.k.a. Dope By Accident

Like the title says, here is an introduction to a new artist who we'll all know as Dope By Accident from the Wizz Dumb Drums Productions. She be a singer/songwriter from within the Timbo Camp and she has some dope material coming out on January 25th 2013, so look out for a track "Tryna Wife".
I'm not sure if it's the same track we hear in the beginning of the clip below with Shawn Chrystopher though...


So with all these new music promises this year already, what are your hopes for 2013?

Sebastian - "Retro"

In a surprise turn of events Timbaland decided to release Sebastian's song "Retro" without Seb's prior consent or permission which has made him kinda mad/sad now as he had a whole video planned for it and everything...
Still we've been craving it and Tim knew we did, so we have it now, and my question is you guys happy? I certainly am as I'm a huge Sebastian fan, but I was fully ready to sit and wait for him to drop it on his own terms. Anyhow this is refreshing to my system!
One more thing, people seem to keep forgetting that the female vocalist on the track is in fact Cherish MiE and for the hook she recorded each word as individual syllables, such as 'Re-tr-o".

Possible Timbaland Thursdays Comeback

Now there seems to be plans, not concrete yet, to resume the Timbaland Thursdays free music program which I believe if done would be a wise move to help regenerate hype for Tim's album, it's a simple successful scheme and when done correctly it can create such an impact on expectant fans...

I have reason to believe that we may see a return of this program as a certain "bird" went tweeting to yours truly about something related to this plan... I shall not go into details about that yet until my "boss" says I can. (I hope I've dropped enough hints).
