Timbaland next album title "Textbook Timbo"

Very well then, we were all given the impression that "Shock Value III" was in the works, (which it was), but then ultimately got scrapped due to delays.
Then we were told the new project was being called "Rebirth" which as it seems was lost in translation because the ACTUAL title of the next Timbaland album is "Textbook Timbo".
Damn so many name changes, but Tim is serious about this title, so looks as if this is the final working title on the project. (Oh by the way, the album cover above is one I quickly meshed together, it's not the real deal.)
On a more positive note here's a new track by Jay-Z & Tim called "Bounce", but for which album, we don't know yet, could be on Textbook, or perhaps a Magna Carta 2?

Timbaland talks "Sorry" and The Blueprint III Leaks

You guys don't need an introduction for this, the title already says enough, here:



Alright so Tim and Jay had their little fall out about "The Blueprint III" leaks, which really affected Tim badly, I even remember a USTREAM Freestyle did in a response to that, however they made up as good friends should, so all good right? Well Tim now reveals over what Jay previously said was an industry problem was actually more of a personal problem. So much so it's extended to a track that Tim has recorded for "Rebirth" (the first track we now know of) entitled "Sorry" with Keri Hilson. In said song Tim gives an apology to Jay for the leaking and on a similar note, Keri apologizes to Beyoncé for their problems in the past (sorry I didn't actually pay much attention to that, feel free to educate me on that).
Well we can see how Tim feels at last about this which is probably why he's entitling his upcoming album "Rebirth". Thoughts?

Timbaland & Beyoncé Chime For Change Performances

Damn how I wish I could've at least watched this on TV, such a shame on my part, but in any case here are the live sets from the Chime For Change concert fundraiser.
We'll start with Timbo and Freestyle's setlist which included:

• The Reflex (Duran Duran Cover) with Simon Le Bon
• SexyBack (Justin Timberlake Cover)
• Promiscuous (Nelly Furtado Cover)

It's great to see Tim is on good terms with Duran Duran REGARDLESS of what officials say, I mean come on, they performed a duo cover of their own song, that's gotta speak for something right?
The only gripe I have is if he was gonna perform SexyBack and Promiscuous, why not bring Justin and Nelly on with him? It could've been a more explosive performance with them. Personally if I were in charge I would've had Tim perform "Hands In The Air" or "Take It Easy" you know, something recent of his to help promote himself, anywho that's just me ranting, let's continue to the official debut of the Timbaland-produced, Beyoncé hit, "Grown Woman"...



AHH I LOVE IT! (Especially since I'm from Africa). Tell you what the cameramen get such an awesome job to cover this!

Mr International has been living up to his title by doing his international thang in that he's teamed up with Bleona (the "Pass Out" girl). Seems like they plotting some very deadly musical attack on our headphones, as here we see the duo giving their all in a hype-performance for the X-Factor Albania, it's a loud set, hear for yourselves:



Also a quickie, in case you missed it, to add to Timbaland's 2013 discography list there'll be a new song produced by him for Freestyle Steve "Sing Out Loud" and it's genre will be Electronic Dance Music.

Timbaland - "Carry Out" Behind The Scenes

Thanks to Boodi Bin Timbo, I am proud to present to y'all a quick snip of a behind-the-scenes look at the "Carry Out" music video shoot with Bryan Barber. It is is quite clear that this video was meant to be released during the Shock Value II days as promo, most likely alongside the "Carry Out" teaser video. It's also interesting to see that Reign went to the shoot as well:


So consider this clip our little tribute to newly wedded Mr & Mrs Timberlake, for those who don't know or have been living in a cave, Justin married Jessica Biel! Justin proposed to her in December 2011 and the two tied the knot on October 19th 2012, so here's to wishing the happy couple a long, prosperous and happy marriage!

Timbaland & Missy Elliott Perform New Song At Hennessy White Rabbit Party in New York City!

As reported by HipHopDX.com, Tim and Missy performed on April 5th at the Highline Stages to celebrate the launch of Hennessy's White Rabbit campaign. Introduced by Erykah Badu, Timbo jumped on the scene and played some of his classic productions giving the people another cool show together with Steve when Missy joined them to debut some songs from her forthcoming album. It's unknown how many song they performed together. However, it's said that one of them features some lyrics from Run D.M.C.'s song "Here We Go (Live at the Funhouse)", and it's supposed to be this one:



I gotta admit I can't understand a word from this song due to the quality, but I'm really impressed by Missy's flow and the energy she puts in this joint. Too bad the beat is so distorted but let's hope we'll get a HQ version soon. This is not the first song where Tim and Missy got inspired by Run D.M.C. so I think this one might be HUGE as well!

And a little appeal to the folks out there - if any of you were at the show and are willing to share more materials (in better quality maybe), recordings of other songs premiered by the infamous duo etc. please hit us up!

Very recently the JUKEBOX:DC interviewed our favorite Disc Jockey, Freestyle Steve! Here's the full interview:

In our next Inside the Box feature we interview DJ Freestyle Steve,  Steve is the official DJ for music mogul/production genius Timbaland as well as the exclusive DJ of choice for many NBA and NFL players and others in the music business.The veteran DJ has worked on projects with many of the elite artists in music such as Dr. Dre, Justin Timberlake 50 Cent and Madonna. In our interview, he speaks on what he has been up to since working with Missy & Timbaland, What his dream concert to Dj for, and  what he is currently working on. 

Why are you called Freestyle Steve? Were you a freestyler before DJing?
My good friend gave me that name because I never played music. We had an underground radio station, and I wouldn't play Miami music. This was back in 1990-91. He said "you just play all kinds of stuff you just freestyle". The name just stuck. I still follow that same thing, that's what makes me me. I have the word 'freestyle' tattooed on my arm. I never play anything set, I just make it up as I go alone. Like I said, the name stuck, and I still freestyle. 


What have you been up to since Missy Elliot & Timbaland aren't active in hip hop?
We've been in the studio with Missy and Timb, those albums are 99% complete. I've been doing my own parties overseas. I recently did Brazil and Marrakech in the same week. I did Madrid, lots of overseas parties. Recently I've gotten back into Miami parties. I recently did my first Miami party on the beach. It's kinda like getting back into the swing of reconnecting with my city. Hearing my voice in the clubs, I've been out of the states for about the past 2 years. Gotta get my people back here. Lebron, D Wade, Santana Moss, it was crazy one night at Rico Love. Club Rush is always an incredible place to DJ.

You have worked with elite artists such as Dr Dre, 50 Cent and Madonna. Can you speak on those projects and involvement.
With Dr Dre we did the launch party for HP Beats By Dre Laptop, in LA. Being in the studio with him and Timb is a great memory. Madonna was an experience of its own. It was Timb and Justin Timberlake in London we were working on the album 'Candy'. Being around her and listening to her stories, DJing a party for her was a once in a lifetime. We went to NYC and did a party for her at The United Nations for her foundation. Madonna doesn't take any shit, she's a true diva.

What would be your dream concert to Dj for?
My opening act would be R Kelly followed by Prince, my intermission artist would be Luther Vandros, he's gonna sing during the intermission. My close out artist is going to be Teddy Pendergrass. That's my guy, I love me some Pendergrass, musically I love him. The crazy thing is the person who would host it would be Justin Timberlake. Could you imagine how crazy that concert would be? That's my concert there!!! People might ask why would I say that, they think I would be only hip hop. I'm totally different than that!!

What songs currently get heavy rotation on your set?
French Montana remix Rick Ross and Diddy, Rihanna with Calvin Harris, Beyonce Love On Top, Timb Break Ya Back, obviously that's in my rotation, Jeezy She Said, Rick Ross Stay Schemin.

What are you currently working on?
My mixtape series, also working on building relationships with different promotors. It was hard to build when I was out on the road. Everyone was asking for me and Timb. Continuing to work and build my brand, trying to keep right. I have some DJs under me right now, DJ Styles from Jacksonville DJ NVS Styles from Miami. Working hard on Timbs and Missy's release. Worked on Demi Lovato's upcoming joint. Doing lots of parties, getting that popping. Working on this deal with the W Hotel, doing my own series in the lobbies of their hotels. I'm going to be on the road traveling with my brother Andre, taking over clubs. Just having fun.
I just had my first experience of Bieber fever, worked with Justin this recently on his new album. He is the new Micheal Jackson, his fans are some true die hard fans. One girl said they flew from Brazil just to get a peak of him. We recorded at Hit Factory. He's becoming a man on this new record, he's got some good stuff. I was really impressed. I didn't think he would do that. I've seen it all and did it all, and eve I was like WOW! International party series, that still is my core. The Timb and Missy tour is coming that's coming real soon so watch out!!!

Timbaland at SXSW & Break Ya Back (Clean)

The showcase undoubtedly went very well (except for the few power outages which Tim claimed happened because of his hits) but anyway many hits were performed by Timbaland, including Break Ya Back, I'm A Triple Threat, Give It To Me, Promiscuous, SexyBack, Carry Out, Red Bone (snippet), a Rick Ross song, a Snoop Dogg song and 2 other songs that I don't know the titles of.

It has been brought to my attention that a LiveStream video was shared very recently but Timbaland doesn't want it to be shared, (even though he slipped the link himself). So to be true to Timmy I will not share that video, however I can this snippet with the Timbo/Rozay collab:
